Open letter to David Cameron from Anne Palmer JP

Address removed

22.9.2009.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP

Leader of the Conservative Party

House of Commons,

London

SW1A OAA.

Dear Mr Cameron,

Although I am not in the Conservative Party, I have always voted for the Conservatives in a General election. However, as the EU instigates so very many of our Laws now and a great deal more should ‘Lisbon’ come into FORCE, we all, even our own MP’s will have to obey, I question why anyone would want to vote for any British political Party that, although elected by the people of this country, to speak for the people, do not do as the people wish. It is well known that the people were promised and should have had a referendum on the very constitutional EU Treaty.

Having just written that, and knowing the contents of that Treaty, I believe anyone that voted for it, may be violating their solemn Oath of Allegiance to the British Crown and the present wearer of it. If I just take the smallest Article (Article 47) in the Treaty of Lisbon, it gives the European Union as a whole, for the very first time, “legal personality” which allows the EU to “speak with one voice” for the whole of the EU on many subjects and at meetings and to ratify Treaties on behalf of all 27 Countries without debates in National Parliaments. War making Power? There is no mention that this is NOT so.

As far as the UK is concerned our Government uses the Royal Prerogative on behalf of the British Crown for many things and particularly, for ratifying Treaties. The power of the Crown is used through the Royal Prerogative. It is held in trust by Government Ministers and to pass on to the next maybe different Government to use. Through Article 47, it means that our Government has given the Royal Prerogative to foreigners to use through the ratification of the Treaty of Lisbon. The power of the British Crown is the ultimate authority (sovereignty) of Parliament and its Treaty making instrument, the Royal Prerogative. It is not in the authority of Government to give away this Royal Prerogative to anyone and certainly not to foreigners, it is not in their ‘gift’ to give, for it belongs to The British Crown.

The Treaty, I believe, is contrary to our own Common law Constitution and Her Majesty’s Coronation Oath, "That no foreign Prince, person, prelate, state, or potentate hath, or ought to have any jurisdiction, power superiority, pre-eminence, or authority, ecclesiastical or spiritual, within this realm, So help me God." ALL our politicians swear a solemn Oath of Allegiance to the Crown and through the Crown to this Country and its people before they can take their seat in Parliament. How then can they ratify Treaties that allows foreigners to ratify Treaties on our behalf, and for all the years to come?

I doubt any of us believe the people will continue voting or paying for a "pretendy" Government for long, especially as time goes by. This is not what we vote for them to do. All three major political parties are presently talking of cuts in spending. Stop paying the billions in “contributions” to the EU and paying the unlimited amounts in “fines” when this once sovereign Government does not always get EU laws right, and then everything will fall into place. Working with others and not ruled by them.

Has Government in ratifying this Treaty revoked the power of the Crown as exercised by Government denying the exclusive authority of the British Government to use the Royal Prerogative in those areas they have agreed to allow the EU to use the powers of the Royal Prerogative in their stead? In the doing, the EU “Binds the Crown and Government”. Not only is our Government made subservient to the EU, the Crown is also by this action. I write

of “The Crown”, for I recognise that the power of the Crown is the ultimate authority (sovereignty) of Parliament and that power, (sovereignty) is used by Government through the Royal Prerogative. It is that sovereign power this Government have given away to the European Union for Article 47. As the EU Treaties are designed for all time and the EU is planning for the next 50 years, it would seem to be a gift of which there is no return, given by a temporary Government, binding every new future Government and future Heirs to the throne. I submit this was not in the gift of ministers and that they could, at a future date, be held guilty of sedition against the State.

I am mindful that it was also the Conservatives that made Her Majesty a Citizen of Europe through the ratification of the Treaty of Maastricht. It is well known that two subjects of Her Majesty tried to bring charges of treason against the Government but it was deemed, as I understand it, by the then Attorney General as ‘not in the public’s interest’ to allow the case. (yet one rule of justice is that no man be judge in his own case, “non judex in causa sua”. However times change, and we also know that “Lisbon” changes (deepens) that EU citizenship, for the Treaty of Lisbon has ‘competence’ over all Nation States’ Constitutions and Laws. However, in spite of the Treaties ratified by this Government, or perhaps because of, if Lisbon goes through without the people having had their say in a referendum, the people’s allegiance to their own Country will become stronger and parts of their own Constitution, Magna Carta and the Declaration and Bill of Rights 1688/9 will eventually be put to the test once more. It does not bode well for future peace.

Not many people have any trust left in Members of our Parliament and even less in the present Government. “Britain will not be bound by Treaties to which the British have not given assent”. That was written by William Reese-Mogg September 13 2009. Should you wish for my vote, I would need a total vow of commitment to hold a referendum whether the Treaty has been ratified or not and the Treaty withdrawn immediately whether all 27 States have ratified it or not. Never in the history of the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties has anything like this happened before, although a Treaty has been withdrawn once, before all parties ratified. It is however, very questionable if the Treaty of Lisbon complies with the Vienna Convention on the Law of Treaties own articles, for the Treaties should be clear and precise in order to be understood by all those to whom it applies. The Treaty of Lisbon is perhaps the most (deliberately) ‘muddled’ EU Treaty of all time and perhaps the last EU Treaty, for its acceptance will finally destroy the self-governing of each Nation State. I await your reply and actions with great interest.

Yours faithfully,

Anne Palmer. JP. (Written copy in the post.)

CAMERON! You are all crooks for drawing full pay for a quarter of a job!

All the proposals rolled out by Cameron for reforming Parliament today are rubbish!

All the expense fiddles shade into insignificance when every MP draws full pay and a fat pension for doing only a quarter of a job. The rest has been given away to the EU. Nothing has been given in return.

Anybody looking around can see that their country is now controlled by German, French and Scottish interests! All this and without the clearly promised Referendum on the new Constitutional arrangements now planned via the Lisbon Treaty.

These obvious realities render all who continue to sit in Parliament to be perceived as crooked shysters, for it was the opposition's job to hold the Government to their own manifesto promise, by extreme pressure on Labour MPs who should have been warned of the inevitable consequences now beinning.

The proposals of Cameron on reform of Parliament are pure garbage, for Parliament has been neutered and sold off by our two main political parties, cheered on by the Liberal/Democrats and out negotiated at every step by our continental neighbours.

I am blogging on Ironies Too, over the next day or two, on the treachery carried out over the referendum, as it is now the sixth anniversary of my initial reactions on Ironies to the proposed EU constitution. Six years of continuing betrayal - how time flies!

Czech President Klaus can now make Cameron's Referendum Con Valuable

As the Czech Parliament has now approved the Lisbon Treaty the promise by President Klaus to delay signature until the last moment now becomes even more significant.

Even if the Irish vote Yes to Lisbon in a second referendum this autumn the fact that Cameron yesterday pledged to hold a British Referendum on the Treaty if it had yet to be ratified upon a Tory election victory gives President Klaus (and indeed the Polish President) every justification to withhold his signature from the Constitutional Treaty that neuters 27 Parliaments across the EU.

This has also been posted to Ironies Too.

Cameron's EU Policy

Buried among the dross of David Cameron's Guardian interview today (here) is his new policy on the greatest threat already bankrupting the nation (read here). I quote

· promises to hold a referendum on the Lisbon treaty, as long as one other EU state has still not ratified the treaty;

In other words the Conservatives policy is entirely passive towards the greatest threat ever posed to the independence and wealth of the nation. Any action is entirely dependent upon the actions of any one of the 26 other member states of the EU.

Under the Conservative Party, now enjoying a massive opinion poll lead due entirely to the massive incompetence and self-serving nature of the present Labour government, we will have nothing whatsoever to do or to say about Britain's role in the world or how we are to be governed and led, effectively leaving all such major decisions to the uncontrollable whims of foreigners!

Cameron proves his unworthiness to lead

The speech on the Union of England and Scotland, linked here, proves that here is a man unfit to confront the dangerous forces at work in these dangerous times.

He claims parliament as essential to Britishness but never once mentions the gravest threat to that parliament namely the EU and the dreadful Lisbon Treaty that is about to be ratified in that very parliament, thanks in part to the treachery of the Labour and Liberal Democratic MPs but almost equally his own lack of leadership in trumpeting the dangers.

When history notes how democracy was ended in Britain, he will stand alongside Brown and Clegg as almost equally culpable.

Accessories to Treason

Matthew Parris this morning writing in The Times, linked here, makes plain his typical Tory view of the present political situation in terms only of absolute party advantage, while the fate of the nation does not enter into consideration at all. I quote his views as to what David Cameron and a typical tory should be calculating:

What would an opposition leader with steady nerves be aiming for, if not the prolonged, hard-pounding, two-year destruction of an incompetently led Labour Government's morale, self-belief and national standing? Mr Brown is there for bayoneting practice, until the Tory troops are ready.

Isn't this obvious? Can't you see why thinking Tories want the present administration to limp wretchedly on for as long as our constitution allows under a leader who has lost beyond retrieval the respect and the affection of the electorate; and then to go down to a dreadful defeat in 2010 - hit so hard they don't get up again for a decade? Don't you sense how relaxed is the centre right at the possibility that Mr Brown will be given more rope - two years' supply - before his party hangs itself? Don't you smell a whiff of nervousness on the Right that Labour might, finally and after all, throw itself from a bus speeding towards the abyss and pick itself up with a new Leader who understands how to fight Tories? Why, Labour MPs, would you positively opt for the agony of a leadership in its death throes being played out slowly in a long, cruel, humbling spectacle, before the eyes of the whole country and its news media?

People of Britain should instead ask why the MPs of both parties should now be ready to disregard the interests of the nation for the future at all! David Cameron has made it his business iniopposition to ape Tony Blair and New Labour. The dire straits in which the nation now finds itself are due to the ten years incompetence of Tony Blair as Premier and the near criminal economic incompetence of the present PM while Chancellor of the Exchequer during those same years. Supported throughout it must here be stressed by the same Labour backbench MPs upon whom the country must now rely to select a competent leader.

The Lisbon Treaty ratification will be the destroyer of the Westminster Parliament as admitted in its own debates and votes in both its houses in recent weeks.

A challenge must be mounted from a Cabinet Minister with a pedigree of political leadership but no close connection with either Blair or Brown and with an unequivocal commitment to a referendum on the Lisbon Treaty and therefore a corresponding demand that Brown must immediately step down outside the rules of a challenge to a Labour Party Prime Minister, in order that the Lisbon Treaty cannot receive Royal Assent and thus destroy Britain without the vote of all the people being recorded.

If Brown clings on and delivers the end result of the Blair/Brown conspiracy to deliver the country into the non-democratic control of the presently corruptly constructed EU (see my post of this morning on The Strasburg Cesspit blog, linked here) the country is altogether finished and political manipulations of the kind considered by Matthew Parris in today's Times become only of interest to the MPs who lust after the perks of pretend ministerial portfolios in a Province of a tyranny. Even Giscard d'Estaing, prime mover of the original constitution is now awakwening to the terrible dangers in which the entire European Continent has been plaved, I quote from yesterday's Open Europe press review:

Giscard d'Estaing blasts "semi-clandestine" appointment of EU President

Agence Europe reports that Valery Giscard d'Estaing is worried about the "semi-clandestine" nomination of the future EU President, and the fact that while Europe's leaders say Europe must be brought closer to its citizens, the same leaders are well on the way to designating the President "without any consultation." He told a meeting of the European Movement in Paris: "If nothing is done, and it looks as though that will be the case, then this will be the worst appointed leader in the world. There will be nothing to be proud of."
